Designed for a house in Cirencester and made in-house at Studio Milton, this pantry has a modern, clean and simple look. At its centre is an open display, lit by LEDs that pick out a fluted oak back panel. The texture adds depth, warmth and a touch of class, making the display the beautiful focal point of the piece. There’s no shortage of storage here, with four drawers below the display and a full-height cupboard unit on either side. On the right, the top doors are double height, with a horizontal groove added to keep the symmetry. Behind them sit a pair of handmade oak spice racks, proof that the details matter even when they’re out of sight. The left-hand unit has its own quiet detail too, with vents machined into the back panel for the client’s microwave. Cover panels run around the whole unit, giving it a neat, even border and helping it sit snugly against the wall.
