MARLBOROUGH KITCHEN

This kitchen is simple and Scandinavian-inspired, with a light, uncomplicated feel that suits the small space. The client loved the idea of using colour, texture and grain to create a playful room, with each element playing its part to bring the space to life. The base units along the wall are finished in a block green, while the island, pantry and upper units are made in oak. All the doors are handleless, with a chamfered top edge that creates a simple, functional handle. An oak backing strip is visible through the gap, tying in with the rest of the oak in the room. The upper units include fluted glass panels, adding texture and a soft distortion to what’s inside the cupboards.

This was a lovely bespoke kitchen to make, and it shows how much life a small space can hold. If you have an idea for a space in your own home, we’d love to hear it. Get in touch with Studio Milton using the details at the bottom of the page.
